Welcome to Tamland Campfires.
Tamland is a place which models a campfire, a traditional place for groups to talk! Our campfire is led by Tam who has put together this "perfect" world which focuses on the principles listed below.

Talking is a form of communication.
Talking can be one of the easiest and yet at the same time hardest things to do.
Talking comes with sound, emotions, words and many things that can be understood many different ways.
It can bring love or sorrow.
It can bring peace or create wars.
Campfires are important because...
They are a warm, comfortable spot where everyone can be themselves. Things like appearance, scars both physical and emotional are not as noticeable.
In these circumstances, one can be more relaxed, open to listening to others. Listening is a very important skills.
Remember one has two ears and one mouth.
Listening, thinking and asking questions help us make better decisions for self and others.

7 CAMPFIRE principles which are used in Tamland
1. Be a truth teller. Telling the truth is good for ones's tummy. The universe is very complex but for those at the campfire/table the world is made up of positive and negative energy. Telling the truth, although sometimes hard, creates positive energy and leads to a happier tummy. Positive energy can create a more hopeful future.
2. Be intentionally part of a community. Intentional means to choose your community and participate in your community. Know that communities always change and so they should. Be part of the change for positive energy and hope. Nothing endures but change. The more we work together for a change that encompasses the caring and sharing of humanity the better the species will be. It will generate hope and helpful future ideas. Caring for and being cared for is a foundational need for our species now and a source of hope for the future.
3. Be a communicator - meet at the campfire/table. At the campfire, one communicates with Mother Nature and all those around. Every entity at the campfire has their own thoughts. Thoughts are meant to be shared and nourished. Thoughts are the foundation of ones individuals belief system. Thoughts are nourished by investigating, discussing and brain storming ideas. This takes on a sense of working together to get things done. Once one is an honest broker at the table than the best decisions can be made for oneself and for the community.
Sharing ideas and doing things that are good for others is a positive and confirming way for the comunnity to function.
4. Respect others. Members of the community may look different, act different, speak different, but they are all the same and want the same things out of life. It is important to come to the campfire and find out what those similar things are. This can be defined as a right but with rights comes responsibilities. All are responsible for one another and our community at large.
5. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
Be a doer, change things from the inside out. Be part of the community working together to create a more positive future. A complainer or a blamer generates negative energy which is harmful to the health of both the individual and the community.
6. Be an investigator - find out who you are, what are your beliefs, what is important to you and why is it important to you. What is your passion, your motivator?
7. Work, Work and more Work. Life is not a game, it is real! We are only here for a limited time which in the economy of the universe is only for a nanosecond. Time is our most precious resource. We don't know how long we have. Everything we do requires work. Individuals feel better when they work with a purpose not just for themselves but for others. Passionately working can creates all kinds of good things most of all positive energy and hope.
